Family Practice Center

Incoming Family Practice residents at Marshall University will have the pleasure of working in an outstanding multi-million dollar facility.  This relatively new structure opened in the Spring of 1998 and is adjacent to our primary teaching hospital,  Cabell Huntington Hospital.
The Family Practice Center is housed in the Marshall University Clinical Practice Center.  It is a state-of-the-art facility designed with residency training as its focus.  The clinical area consists of  30 examination rooms; specialized procedure rooms for minor surgery, colposcopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, etc.;  expanded resident work space; a new residency conference room/library; expanded computer systems; dedicated counseling and family therapy space; patient education rooms;  and easily accessible faculty offices.
The adjacent Rural Health Center and new medical school library (designed with cutting edge technology to assist students, residents, and faculty in accessing the most up to date medical information) are just seconds away and enhance the overall educational experience for the residents in our program.
